Dallas, Texas, 09/24/2014 (ustrademedia) – Three advocacy groups, namely the Public Citizen, Common Cause and Organization United for Respect which represent the interests of public wellbeing have come out strongly against global retailer Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (NYSE:WMT) corporate practice of soliciting donations from its employees toward campaign funding. The advocacy groups allege that the retailer is violating several clauses of the federal campaign-finance laws by asking for employee contribution into its “political action committee.” On its part, the retailer commits to match the employee donations into the company run charity. The rights group took their complaint to the Federal Election Commission yesterday. The complaint states that the company policy provides a monetary incentive for employees to contribute, which is forbidden by the campaign laws. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (NYSE:WMT) offers to match the employee contribution in a 2:1 ratio.

(NYSE:N) announced that socks manufacturing major Point6 has completed deploying NetSuite ERP solutions to meet the growing demands of its fast-expanding business. The socks manufacturer which is headquartered in Steamboat Springs, Colorado has decided to migrate out of Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) Dynamics GP and SalesPad GP ERP modules. It will consolidate all its ERP applications on NetSuite Inc. (NYSE:N) provided cloud-based solutions, which will in turn allow the manufacturer to scale up its IT infrastructure in line with its business growth.
Cloud based contact centre software services provider Incontact (NASDAQ:SAAS) announced yesterday that one major (unnamed) utility services provider of U.S has decided to implement the firm’s Incontact ECHO cloud solution to conduct, manage and monitor its customer survey program. The survey tool being provided by Incontact (NASDAQ:SAAS) will offer a flexible and real time data analysis ability to the utility company and will help cut down the turnaround time required to program and launch such regular survey projects.
