Dallas, Texas, 09/24/2014 (ustrademedia) – Spok Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:SPOK) announced that its solutions for call center recording and quality management, 9-1-1 call taking and dispatch and IP phone tracking received JITC (Joint Interoperability Test Command) certification. The solutions also get listed under the Unified Capabilities Approved Products List of the Department of Defense. It encompasses IOC (Interoperability Certification) from the Joint Staff and IA (Information Assurance) Accreditation from the DSAWG. The accreditation testifies that the solutions offer the highest levels of security and interoperability required by the U.S. Military and the U.S. Government. Earlier, Spok Smart Speech, Spok Smart Web, Spok Smart Console and Spoke. Notify have also received IA / IOC certification.

Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC)’s wholly owned subsidiary Wind River announced that an Airbus Group company, Airbus Defence and Space depends on Wind River’s VxWorks® 653 Platform for its ATLANTE, which is a tactical unmanned aerial vehicle. Wind River is a global leader in providing software for intelligent connected systems. ATLANTE is considered one of the most important industrial and technological initiatives in the Spanish UAV sector. ATLANTE offers 24 hours a day operating capability and is designed to carry out damage evaluation operation, target identification and shoot correction among other ISTAR missions. ATLANTE does not require any landing strips for take-off.

FedEx Corporation (NYSE:FDX) announced the launch of a shipping solution FedEx® Global Returns, which is designed to ‘simplify’ the global returns process. The solution will offer enhanced ability to retailers to manage their customers’ returns experience, including customs documentation, editable return labels and flexible return destinations via FedEx Ground or FedEx Express. Executive Vice President of Marketing and Communications at FedEx, Raj Subramanian expressed that the new solution puts the shipper in control and allows customers to have a one-stop solution. FedEx Global Returns will allow end-customers an automated, efficient and flexible returns process.
