Semiconductor Stocks to Watch: TriQuint Semiconductor Inc. (NASDAQ:TQNT), Key Energy Services Inc. (NYSE:KEG) and General Cable Corp. (NYSE:BGC)
Dallas, Texas, 09/24/2014 (ustrademedia) – TriQuint Semiconductor Inc. (NASDAQ:TQNT) in a press release on Monday announced that it will soon supply two new WLAN modules to work with the 5GHz applications to Ruckus Wireless. TQNT noted that it has been short-listed by Ruckus Wireless to supply the two WLAN power amplifiers for the fifth-generation 802.11ac Wi-Fi platforms. Victor Shtrom, Co-Founder and Chief Wireless Architect for Ruckus Wireless commented “TriQuint’s high-power WLAN solutions help us deliver best-in-class Wi-Fi systems that give our carrier and enterprise customer’s unparalleled Wi-Fi performance. That’s the bottom line.” These can be used for vehicle-to-vehicle communications as well the press release noted.
A Class Action lawsuit will soon be filed against Key Energy Services Inc. (NYSE:KEG) by EVI & KORSINSKY, LLP at the Southern District Court of Texas for investigating violations of SEC regulations against purchases of securities made between July 25, 2013 and July 17, 2014. KEG lawsuit would hold a deadline of October 14, 2014.The allegations are that the company failed to inform about fall in production of Petroleos Mexicanos as well as violations in the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, in Russia. The law suit led to a significant decline in KEG shares across the trading day.
General Cable Corp. (NYSE:BGC) announced on Monday that it would offer “$250 million aggregate principal amount of senior notes due 2019.” These would be offered only to prestigious institutional buyers the press release noted. BGC announced that the funds raised from these senior notes will be used to redeem the senior floating rate notes which are due in 2015. Some of the proceeds will be used for corporate purposes as well. BGC also announced that, the Company “will agree, subject to certain conditions, to file a registration statement relating to a registered offer to exchange the Notes for new registered notes having substantially identical terms as the Notes.”
