Mining Stocks You Need To Know About: Alpha Natural Resources, Inc. (NYSE:ANR), Ubiquiti Networks Inc. (NASDAQ:UBNT) And Molycorp Inc. (NYSE:MCP)
Dallas, Texas, 09/24/2014 (ustrademedia) – Alpha Natural Resources, Inc. (NYSE:ANR), subsidiary company Aracoma Coal Company Inc. on Thursday said it has received an order by “Mine Safety – Reporting of Shutdowns and Patterns of Violations.” In an Item listed as 1.04 ANR’s subsidiary, reported that it had received an order from the Mine Safety and Health Administration, for the ‘imminent danger’ as per section 107(a) of the Mine Act. The order was issued against Aracoma Alma Mine #1, situated at Stollings, in West Virginia. The order perceived risks “due to methane levels detected in the Mine.” However, the on the following day another order terminating the previous order was also issued. Aracoma Alma Mine has commenced operations since, and reported no injuries.
Ubiquiti Networks Inc. (NASDAQ:UBNT) on Monday received analyst Wunderlich Securities Matthew S. Robinson reiteration of rating for the networking company. UBNT rating of Buy was reiterated by Robinson, with the price target of $55.0 per share. The securities firm reported that, it has also had to cut-back on the sales forecast. The reason ascribed for the sales forecast trim was attributed to the slowdown the US political sanctions against the Russian and Ukraine services affecting the overall volumes for the company. The analyst firm reiterated the uncertainty in the recovery of the region and the build-up of sales, despite new ISP businesses being set-up by the likes of Latvia’s Mikro Tik.
Molycorp Inc. (NYSE:MCP) on Monday reported gains of almost 12.2% in the sessions, with solid volume as well. MCP has thus been able to arrest the recent week’s downward slide and has now reached a point where it is nearly 22.2% down in the past one month. However, the company has not offered revisions in estimates in the past 30 days. Monday’s price momentum is a welcome move, and investors are watching this stock closely in the coming days.
