Dallas, Texas, 09/29/2014 (ustrademedia) – Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) last week recalled nearly 850,000 units of sedans and SUV after a spate of complaints about malfunctioning air bags. The car maker is investigating issues concerning to faulty mechanisms that prevent the air bags from engaging when involved in a crash. The recalled models include 2013-14 manufactured Ford C-Max models. The other impacted models include “Fusion midsize, Escape SUV and the Lincoln MKZ” as per the press release from the car maker. The car maker has traced the complaints to a control mechanism which is being found to be malfunctioning. In the event of such a short circuiting, the air bags and other associated safety devices like “pre-tensioners, and side curtains” are also likely to stall.
Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) announced on September 26, 2014 in SEATTLE that all the ten new episodes of its comedy series “Transparent”. Would be made available to its Prime Instant Video streaming users based out of US, UK and Germany. The comedy series traces the saga of a Los Angeles family that attempts to make sense of long hidden personal and family secrets. The ten series show directed by award winning director Soloway would now be available for mass download for users of Amazon Instant Video apps on various devices.
Solar power products manufacturer JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. (ADR)(NASDAQ:JASO) announced on 26th September that has managed to achieve nearly 20% energy conversion efficiency. Through the use of its proprietary solar cells that are built on multi-crystalline silicon technology. The firm gas disclosed that by leveraging new age technologies which include the likes of “light trapping and surface passivation” the firm’s research team has managed to build this conversion efficiency.
